Our Tax Money Paid for Secrecy.

I was doing searches on where and who has the toxic assets of Citigroup, and other recipients of bailouts...
I came across this:

Wonder where money floats to and from?

With all the government claims to be doing to help people now... Have you ever wondered just how much money is floating around, and how much is tax exempt?
Get ready to be furious, if you aren't now... If you look up these companies...stock holders... you'll find a trail to stock holders in our government.

On Xmas Eve 2009

On Xmas Eve there was a knock at the door.
I had heard knocking before that and brushed it into the back of my mind as the usual neighborhood sounds...
Then, a knock at my door.
I opened the door. Wind blew in with snow and cold, and standing there with a small grin on his face was an elderly man bundled from head to toe against the weather. In his hand was a box of cold donuts that he'd taken off from a pile stacked on his wire cart. I wondered briefly if I was the only one who answered the door, and it didn't cross my mind until later that that's what the knocking meant; he'd knocked on all the doors of the apartments here...
He handed them to me and nodded. He said, "Merry Christmas". I smiled and said, Merry Christmas to you, too! Thank you!"
Another quick nod, and a smile and he was on his way.

Now, this stuck with me ever since, and always will.

I don't know who this man was, but vaguely recall his face was familiar. I'm sure he lives nearby.
It had occured to me to find out who he is, then I though better.
This man was offering unconditional kindness. Not looking for attention...not looking for anything, really.

This simple act warmed me in a way that I haven't been in a long time. Sad it is that this kind of thing is so rare...

Focaccia Bread Recipe

I fudged with ingredients... used fresh thyme, rosemary, garlic...and drizzled olive oil over the top a bit more...I hardly ever use measuring spoons...just go by feel, lol.
I didn't use the mozzarella...but you can.
I used grape tomatoes last on top and sprinkled a bit more Parmesan and Romano cheese with sprinklings of more olive oil. try to use extra virgin first cold press oil...
You can cook it less for softer bread..or look and see when it's gets browned for crispier.
Also, Use a wooden spoon. and, press the herbs..in the dough with your fingers are knuckles.

Focaccia Bread

Ingredients:
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 tablespoon active dry yeast
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme

1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1 pinch ground black pepper
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup water
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup mozzarella
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, stir together the flour, salt, sugar, yeast, garlic powder, oregano, thyme, basil and black pepper. Mix in the vegetable oil and water.
2. When the dough has pulled together, turn it out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead until smooth and elastic. Lightly oil a large bowl, place the dough in the bowl, and turn to coat with oil. Cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for 20 minutes.
3. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Punch dough down; place on greased baking sheet. Pat into a 1/2 inch thick rectangle. Brush top with olive oil. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese.
4. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve warm.
